As the industry leader in environmental initiatives, Dunlop Foams has established yet another benchmark by having the highest number of foam grades accredited by GECA for the Australian market.

The GECA programme is recognised worldwide through its eco label, displayed on goods and services that have been verifi ed as conforming to its strict environmental performance standards.

As part of our commitment to continually and measurably improve environmental performance, Dunlop Foams has devised a unique ‘scrubbing’ treatment and real time measurement of fumes from manufacturing, which shows that we have eliminated 99% of potentially harmful TDI fumes that would otherwise find their way into the atmosphere.

This technology removes up to 300kgs of TDI per year – that’s 10 times more than the requirement of state Environmental Protection Authorities (EPA).

Dunlop Foams recycles the majority of its foam waste from our manufacturing processes, much of which is used by Dunlop Flooring in their Recycle by Dunlop programme.

In partnership with furniture and bedding manufacturers around Australia, Dunlop Foams believes the recycling of polyurethane foam waste is a way we can make practical yet signifi cant improvements to our environment.

Dunlop Viscofl ex is the new range of low resilience, visco-elastic (VE) foams that are also known as “slow recovery” or “memory” foams produced by Dunlop Foams. The unique formulation of Dunlop Viscofl ex allows it to conform to the shape of the body even in cold conditions. Unlike most other VE foams, Viscoflex does not go hard in cold conditions, providing instant comfort without the need for body heat to soften it.

Dunlop Viscolux (LR) is Dunlop Foams original soft low resilience visco-elastic (VE) foam.

Dunlop Viscofl ex and ViscoLux foams have the characteristic of slow recovery after compression force is removed, leaving a temporary imprint. These foams provide superior comfort by spreading the load and reducing pressure.

Dunlop Viscofl ex and ViscoLux foams are widely used in healthcare applications where the foam’s visco-elastic (VE) properties can help with pressure point redistribution.
